The problem
Shipments were tracked through chat messages, phone calls and handwritten notes, with invoices kept in spreadsheets. Customers had to call or message to ask where their cargo was, pricing depended on whoever answered, and nothing connected a shipment to its container, its invoice or its payment.
What we built
One platform for the whole cargo operation: an admin dashboard, a customer website and a mobile app, Arabic first.
- Container-level control: every customer's goods in a container are tracked together. One status update reaches every customer in it, and container contents import straight from a spreadsheet.
- One price list, everywhere: sea pricing by volume tiers and air pricing by weight and item type drive the calculator, the app and the invoices, so a quote and a bill never disagree.
- Invoices and payment built in: invoices per container or per month with VAT, downloadable as PDF and payable online by card on the website and in the app.
- Customer self-service: customers track shipments, check invoices, estimate prices and pay without calling anyone. Air shipments can be tracked without even logging in.
- Loyalty that runs itself: points on every paid invoice, five membership tiers, and redemption in the app.
- Customers always in the loop: automatic push notifications as shipments move, plus announcements to all customers or a single container.
- Staff under control: permissions per section and an audit log of every action.
The outcome
More than 1,500 customers signed up on the platform, which has handled over 20,000 shipments across more than 100 containers.
